Interviews

I have participated in online interviews about art, acting and photography at whohub.com. Some of the answers are listed below:

  • How is an idea born? For you, what is inspiration?

Inspiration is anything that allows an idea to my formed in my mind. It could be other people, landscapes, famous works of art or photography, a quote, anything. An idea is born simply by turning a thought into a solid plan.

  • What is art?

Art is creation and expression of a thought, idea, or message. It is not easily defined or put inside a box. Everyone can see art in some shape or form, but not everyone can create it.

  • What advice would you give to those just beginning?

Dont give up. Do what makes you happy and never stop or compromise. Know that you are going to fail but this will only make you stronger. Be willing to accept constructive criticism. And in the end, make your art for yourself and be able to defend it to the end.

  • What do you do? How do you define yourself as an artist?

I am a multimedia artist who focuses in design and photography. As an artist and this early in my career, I choose not to be defined and have not yet been able to establish a style. My designs so far have mostly been for clients and projects and my photography is for me. I shoot what I like and edit them in a way that appeals to me.

  • What is your favorite type of photography?

High contrast or vivid colors. I am also drawn to and mesmerized by underwater photography. My favorite subjects to photograph are people.

  • What do you try to express through your photography?

Good technique, well developed skills, an artistic eye, creativity and passion.

  • For how long have you done photography? How did you begin?

I have been doing photography for more than just birthdays and big events for about 5 years now. People just started telling me I had en eye for it and I started doing it more and more and fell in love.

  • At what stage in your career did you realize that acting could be something you do professionally?

When I had to pick a major in college and had no desire to give up acting. Also when I started watching movies and critiquing the performances and comparing my abilities to theirs.

  • How did you begin acting?

I began acting in third grade. My mom had to force me to audition and I ended up loving it.

  • What is your criteria in determining which projects you select?

I think about how it is going to play to my skills as an actress or if it is going to expand my experience and make me grow.
